Stop Closures at Llanelli's Prince Philip Hospital
30th January 2012March and Rally in Llanelli on the 11th of February 2012.
In Llanelli, the threatened closure of Prince Philip A & E unit will not be accepted without a fight. A march and rally organised by Llanelli Trades Council has been called on the 11th February at 11am gathering at the Town Hall in Llanelli.
A spokesperson from Llanelli Trades Council said:
"The closure of A&E will see Llanelli residents with nowhere to go to get emergency treatment. These proposed changes are senseless and will not work. All the proposals will do is put more strain on other hospitals and see a worse service for people in Llanelli, Carmarthen and Swansea. We need a united, broad based campaign of all those who are opposed to cuts at Prince Philip Hospital. The march and rally will be a public display of opposition by the people in the area and a vital step in the campaign to save Prince Philip Hospital."
