Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition: Swansea / Abertware

Swansea Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition invites you to join with us to discuss and build a fighting alternative at this election and beyond:

"Fight the Cuts at the Ballot Box"
Swansea Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) Election Rally
Thursday 26 April, 7:30pm
Dyfatty Community Centre (SA1 1NB)

Who should vote for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) in the May 3 council elections?

TUSC Against Cuts Working class people need an alternative, including:

Trade Unionists:

13 years of Labour government, with a huge majority, left Tory anti-union legislation completely intact. The Labour Party has refused to support trade unionists taking action against Con-Dem cuts, including the 2 million+ public sector workers that struck on November 30. Labour Councils have passed on Tory cuts, laying off workers and privatising services.

Students:

Con-Dem policies are barring the way to further and higher education for working class youth but it was Labour that introduced tuition fees. Many Welsh students are unable to take advantage of lower fees than in England as there has been a 20% cut in places at Welsh universities. The Assembly is cutting support to students with lower incomes by reducing the value of the Assembly Learning Grant.

The Unemployed:

The Con-Dem’s programme of cuts has seen unemployment climb to close to the 3 million mark; over 1 million young people can not now find work. And this is only the start of their austerity programme! Workfare and Labour’s equivalent programme, now being dubbed ‘Workfare Lite’, offer only dead end slave labour for profit-greedy bosses.
