Swansea HMRC Strike
25th June 2012Tens of thousands of PCS members in HM Revenue and Customs are on strike today, with picket lines held at more than 100 offices across the UK.
Very few of the 250 PCS members at the Swansea HMRC offices turned up for work this morning.
PCS strikers on the picket line were pleased by the response of members to the attacks of the ConDem government on their jobs and conditions.
With 40% of the workforce in Swansea employed in the public sector, support for HMRC workers is widespread across the city and was highlighted by the warm response of other workers passing by the HMRC building this morning.
