For a 24 hour general strike!

Joining together to defend jobs, services, pay, conditions and pensions has never been more important for trade unionists. Attacks from the government and the employers rain down on our movement thick and fast—

  • Royal Mail privatisation,
  • the pay cap in the public sector
  • performance-related pay for teachers
  • McNulty reports on the railways
  • Knight report on the fire service
  • the attacks on NAECCI and JIB by blacklisting construction employers
  • mergers of Welsh universities and
  • colleges
  • and many more…

Many workers are being forced to take action anyway. So its hardly surprising that reps and activists are getting behind the campaign for a 24
hour general strike. The TUC leaders are still "considering" the POA motion for a general strike while organising a bus tour to campaign against cuts.

That is why the WSSN conference is important—to co-ordinate activists to
push our leaders to support co-ordinated action for a one day general strike:

ALL OUT TOGETHER!
