Swansea Trades Council opposes racist division

Swansea Trades Council

Oppose racist division with unity in the fight against cuts to jobs and services!

In recent weeks, UKIP’s leaders and a number of their public representatives have been denounced for their offensive and racist views. Swansea Trades Councils supports the demonstration against racism, called by Swansea UNISON at the Liberty Stadium, 6:30pm on Wednesday when Nigel Farage visits.

Trade unionists oppose racism and prejudice not just because it is hateful but also because it divides us. To resist the tidal wave of cuts taking place to working conditions, to jobs, and to services in our community, will take a united struggle by all workers and trade unionists. The trade union movement opposes the division of racism with unity in struggle.

Jobs and services, not racism!

Swansea Trades Council will be marking May Day - a celebration of workers’ unity with well over a hundred years history – this Saturday. Come and join us.
